Mayor and City Council term limits would be counted separately, so a person could potentially have 3 terms in the City Council and 3 terms as Mayor. A partial term of 2+ years counts as a full term. It will apply starting on Nov 3, 2020. The City Council unanimously approved putting this on the ballot.
